Here we are – the final week before Christmas!
Everyone is getting excited with anticipation in celebration of the Birth of our Lord Jesus! The house is decorated, the presents purchased and wrapped, and plans to see family and friends are set. We are ready.
My brothers and sisters, I hope that this week can be a quiet one for you. Rarely do we have an Advent this long. Amid the hustle and bustle of this season in getting ready for the celebrations, I hope you have taken some time to be quiet and think and pray about the mystery we celebrate – God becoming man and dwelling among us. This week of immediate preparation is much needed and I pray that each of us can take some time to quiet our house, our lives, and our schedule so that we can sit, be, and pray with our Blessed Mother Mary and St. Joseph as they await the birth of their son. Be with them.
I look forward, to celebrating this great feast with you! Here is our schedule again. Friday, December 24th, the schedule will be: 5:00 PM in the Church with overflow in the gym; 7:30 PM in the Church; 10:00 PM in the Church; and 10:00 PM at the Chapel of Our Lady of Good Hope. On December 25th, we will have mass in the Church at 10:00 AM. There will not be a Saturday vigil mass that evening for the Sunday celebration. Our Sunday, December 26th, mass schedule will be as normal: 7:30 AM, 9:00 AM, and 11:30 AM. I will see you both days as we celebrate Christmas and the Feast of the Holy Family!
Merry Christmas!
May the peace, joy, and love of Jesus be in your hearts and homes!
