Charging Forward in Faith and Education

Excitement still hangs in the air from the public launch of our Charging Forward in Faith and Education capital campaign! What a night that was! The next day, we introduced it to the students at the school since their lives will be disturbed quite a bit! This past weekend, we announced it at all the masses and had more information in the narthex. Last week, we continued to roll things out and announced it at Grandparents Day so that they are familiar with it when their grandchildren and children begin speaking about it. Please visit our website for pictures, plans, and information: www.stjamessav.com/chargingforward.

People have asked why we didn’t have a way to give the night of the Public Launch. The reason is as simple as this: I ask that you take this decision to prayer with the Lord and discussions with your spouse if you are married (and your CPA or Financial Advisor) before you make a decision. We are asking everyone to consider a 3-year pledge commitment to the Campaign, not just a one-time gift. This takes time to Pray, Prepare, and Plan. Participation in the campaign is about investing in the future of St. James. When you are praying, preparing (discussing), and planning (with your advisors), keep in mind a pledge over 3 years. You will hear from us in the very near future through email, social media posts, and mailing as to how to make a pledge and where. This is an exciting time for our St. James Parish!

RCIA

Tuesday, September 17, at 6:30 PM is the beginning of RCIA! Do you have someone that you can invite to learn more about our Catholic Faith – a family member, a spouse, a colleague, a friend? We would love to help them come to know Jesus more and to discover the beauty of our Catholic Faith! Please invite someone!

Parish Picnic

Come join us Sunday at our Parish Picnic on McBride Field behind the School from 12:30 to 3:00! Enjoy food, fellowship, and fun with your St. James family! See you there!

St. James the Less, pray for us and all our endeavors and plans!

May the Lord Jesus bless you and your families abundantly this week!
