For the last eight days, we have celebrated Easter and with Sunday, Divine Mercy Sunday, we end the Easter Octave. We celebrate the days after Easter as if we were celebrating that day again! These days culminate with a celebration of Divine Mercy.
Divine Mercy poured forth from Heaven in the form of baby and is displayed for us on the cross and manifested in power in the Resurrection. This is all Divine Mercy. We did not earn this Divine gift. It is gratuitously given by Almighty God. He showers us with His Mercy because of His great love for us and because of His design for our ultimate happiness and fulfillment – eternal life with Him. The only way we can experience the abundant life He wants to give us is to allow His Divine Mercy to wash over us and to receive it with open arms and an open heart.
He reveals His Divine Mercy to us everywhere. May you and I have the eyes to see it, the ears to heart it, and open our hearts to receive it.
Welcome back to all those who were traveling over Easter while St. James School was on Spring Break! It is good to have everyone home! Please pray for the students, teachers, staff, and parents of our School as they begin the final push towards the end of the school year. It will be a mad rush filled with many wonderful and beautiful things! May we all enjoy them and experience peace through them all!
Thank you!!
I want to thank all those who have sent me a card or brought dinner for me and my parents these last weeks since I’ve been home. I haven’t been able to keep up with the Thank you cards! Nonetheless, please know how much I appreciate each and every one of these actions of love, prayer, and support! Each of you mean so much to me and I thank God for you often and keep you and your loved ones in my prayers! Thank you!
Happy Easter! May Hope and Joy fill your soul and your homes this Easter Season!
May the Risen Lord Jesus abundantly bless each of you!
