I received some good news on my cancer journey front this past week – NO new disease and NO progression of the disease! Everything is stable! Thank you, Jesus! So, the treatment will remain unchanged – Prayer and chemotherapy.
Thank you for the continued prayers, love, and support! This strengthens and encourages me to put my trust in the Lord and keep putting one foot in front of another. I am blessed with little to non-existent side effects and I continue to have energy to carry out daily tasks and fulfill my vocation. God is so very good! To Him give praise and glory!
CAMPAIGN UPDATE
Demolition is progressing in the Church and things should be ready for the scaffolding to be erected in early December. I cannot believe the progress made in just a few weeks! For the School, a new access road in the back needs to be built. Taking up the existing road and cutting some trees began that part of the project and they are well on their way. Thank you, students, faculty, and staff, for your flexibility as your recess and playground are interrupted! Y’all are troopers!
ENDING OF THE LITURGICAL YEAR
Next weekend, we celebrate the Solemnity of Our Lord Jesus Christ, King of the Universe which is the last Sunday of the Liturgical Year. At the end of the cycle, we are reminded by the Church that Jesus Christ is in control. Let’s keep our eyes fixed on Him. This week, perhaps we ought to reflect on this previous year. Where have I grown in my faith? Has my prayer life increased and deepened? Is my relationship with Jesus and with the Church stronger? What events, celebrations, or situations shaped me this year?
The following week, we celebrate Thanksgiving to round out the Liturgical year and begin the new year on December 1st, the First Sunday of Advent! It is hard to believe that we are here!
St. James the Less, pray for us and all our endeavors and plans!
May the Lord Jesus bless you and your families abundantly this week!
