Brothers and sisters, do you know anyone who would like to become Catholic or would like to know more about the Catholic faith – a spouse, a family member, a coworker, a friend? Please invite those that you know to explore what God has for them in the Catholic faith. As we do this, we reflect on our own faith. What aspect of our Catholic faith excites your heart? What practice, devotion, prayer, or doctrine causes you to get excited about the faith? Maybe it is the Eucharist – adoration and receiving. Perhaps our Blessed Mother Mary. Maybe it is the consistency of the faith down through the ages. Maybe it is Scripture. Perhaps it is that mass throughout the world is the same. Perhaps it is the community and the saints. Maybe the beautiful art. What is it about our Catholic faith that keeps you coming to mass and being involved in the parish?
When we know what excites our heart about our faith, then we can more easily, more readily share that with someone. This week, think about what it might be for you.
