The year of our Lord 2025 is going to be monumental for St. James the Less Catholic Church and School! We have so much to look forward to – the Sacraments of First Reconciliation, Confirmation, First Holy Communion for our young people, the 2025 Catholic Women’s Conference, many fun events that will help fund projects at the school – the Golf Tournament, Gala, and Boost my School (a week of giving for the school), Construction finishing at the Church and beginning at the School, and many more things! This will be a busy and exciting year!
This week, the painters will begin painting the church. Choices have been finalized for tile, woodwork, upholstery, statues, and the altar and ambo. These will be in production this new year to be finished by the end of June! Things are moving along nicely!
All the work at the school is set to commence this spring after we continue to finalize the plans and get the pricing set. Please pray for us as we go through this process! The added entrance will address needed security questions and the added classrooms will enhance the learning environment of our students. There are two rooms in the remodel which I think are spectacular – the Atrium (Chapel) for the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd and the Chapel at the school near the counselor’s office! These will be special places of prayer and learning for our students to follow Jesus Christ more closely!
On the Campaign and fundraising side, we are moving along and will begin in this new year pushing forward to raise the final $4.4 million. Yes, in the last year, our St. James Catholic Community has contributed $11.1 million towards the goal of $15.5 million! That is extraordinary! Thank you to everyone who has pledged and who are making this vision a reality! In the Spring, there will be an opportunity for everyone in the parish to make a 3-year pledge to make this Campaign a success.
Please continue to pray for the success of our campaign and that the projects to be completed safely and in good time!
St. James the Less, pray for us
May the Lord Jesus bless each of you and your families as we begin this new year!
