Thank you so much for accompanying me on this journey! One year ago, I was diagnosed with cancer and had emergency surgery. You have been with me every step of the way and your prayers, love and support have encouraged me and given me so much hope and joy! You were also with me as I went on pilgrimage to Lourdes. Your presence was palpable at every place we visited. Each of you, your families, your intentions, and, indeed, the whole parish were with me and in me and accompanied me all along this pilgrimage of healing.
At the masses everywhere, in my prayers at the Grotto, at the baths, and in every rosary, I prayed for you, the good, beautiful, faithful people of St. James Parish. I am tremendously grateful to each of you who have facilitated this and have assisted me in this pilgrimage! In fact, when thinking of and praying for you my heart swells with gratitude and my eyes mist with tears of joy and love.
