My St. James Family,
Greetings and blessings!
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, for all the prayers and cards and good wishes sent to me and for me! It is a beautiful thing to experience such love and support! My goodness, when I stop and think about it I am speechless. Thank you all for everything!
My parents thank each of you, too! They have been blessed by the show of love by you for me and for them. They send their gratitude also! Thank you!
I know many of you and your families are praying a decade of the rosary or a rosary for me or making a visit to Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament. Thank you so much!
There are a few people we are asking for special intercession: Fr. Rick Thomas, the Georgia Martyrs, and our Blessed Mother, Untier of Knots! Fr. Rick Thomas was a holy priest renowned for his work with the poor in south Texas and in Mexico. The diocese of El Paso has begun his process for canonization and friends of my family are involved. Fr. Thomas was an amazing priest! The Georgia Martyrs are also special intercessors for me as they are our local martyrs whose cause for canonization is in process now. Our Lady, Untier of Knots is praying for me – that the cancer that is tying up everything in my abdomen will be untied and completely normal as soon as she sees fit!
I can’t update everyone in the Pastor’s Corner on my doctor’s appointment that I had on Thursday this past week, but I might put something out to be read at the masses this weekend and then post it on our facebook page.
Be assured of my prayers and love for you and your families!
I love y’all and I miss y’all.
I’ll be back with y’all soon!
Peace in Christ,
Fr. Daniel F. Firmin
