Last week and this coming week our students are heading back into the classroom for another school year! This year will be the 65th year that our School and Parish have been forming our youth and assisting our parents in their vocation of passing on the faith to the next generation! What a beautiful apostolate and ministry for our parish!
Welcome back to School to our students, our families, our teachers and our staff! We are so happy to have everyone back on campus! Our young men and women have started at BC and St. Vincent’s! I hope that this year will be spiritually enriching and that you grow in wisdom and grace.
College also begins this week for some. We are blessed that St. James is a hub to minister to our Catholic brothers and sisters who will be in Savannah for school. Y’all are most welcome and I invite you to be involved in the parish by signing up for an hour of adoration in our Lumen Christi Adoration Chapel, serving as a lector, usher, or member of the choir, attending our Parish dinners and other activities. We are here for you!
Beginning a new school year is exciting and I look forward to all that this new year will bring for each and every one of you! Be assured of my prayers for all of you – students, parents, teachers, staff – as we launch into this next year!
Have a wonderful week and may the Lord bless you and your families abundantly!
